 Touring Oregon's Parks Together

Best Oregon Tours has partnered with Oregon Parks Forever to provide small group tours of beautiful Oregon places.  These tours are perfect for solo travelers and people who want to explore the wonders of our beautiful state while leaving the driving to us.

About this partnership

Best Oregon Tours has been guiding small groups through Oregon's most distinctive landscapes since 2011, including coastal headlands, alpine lakes, covered bridges, and wine country. Led by local experts, including a 20-year coastal naturalist and longtime Oregon educators, our tours are built around a real connection to place rather than rushed checklists. We keep every group small by design, so guests leave not just having seen Oregon, but having actually experienced it.

Oregon Parks Forever is a statewide nonprofit raising funds to enhance and preserve special places and experiences in Oregon's parks. Over nearly three decades, the organization has helped fund projects such as the restoration of the Vista House and seven Oregon Coast lighthouses that guests on our tours stop to visit and admire firsthand.

Through this partnership, Best Oregon Tours brings travelers into the places Oregon Parks Forever works to protect, and every booking made through this page sends a portion of the proceeds back to support that mission — so the experience of exploring Oregon's coast and parks just keeps getting better for the travelers who come after you.

These small-group tours, capped at 12 guests, are especially well suited to solo travelers who want to explore Oregon's natural wonders while leaving the driving to someone else. Many guests come on their own, including women and men traveling solo, and the small-group format means there's always a friendly guide and fellow travelers nearby — so no one is ever truly on their own, and most leave having made a few new friends along the way.

I'm traveling alone, is that alright?
Absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo, including women and men exploring Oregon on their own. Our small-group format means you'll have a friendly guide and fellow travelers throughout, so you're never truly on your own,  you'll likely leave with a few new friends.

How does the Oregon Parks Forever donation work?
When you book a tour through this page, Best Oregon Tours donates a portion of your booking directly to Oregon Parks Forever. There's no extra cost to you, as the donation comes from Best Oregon Tours, not an added fee on your ticket.

Where does the donation go?
Oregon Parks Forever directs funds toward coastal park programs and the broader work of protecting Oregon's public lands.

Do I book directly with Best Oregon Tours?
Yes. Clicking "Book Now" takes you to Best Oregon Tours' secure booking system. Oregon Parks Forever doesn't process payments or handle your booking directly. If you have any trouble booking online, or would like to book over the phone instead, feel free to contact Clem at (503) 572-5323.

What’s included in the tour price?
Door-to-door transportation, an expert local guide, and — depending on the tour — meals, tastings, or park entry. Specifics are listed on each tour's booking page.

What’s your cancellation policy?
We offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour. For private groups or custom itineraries, different terms may apply.

Are your tours family-friendly?
Yes! Many of our tours are suitable for children, though wine tours are limited to ages 21+. Please contact us if you need a kid-friendly version of a tour.

Yes! Best Oregon Tours operates Eugene-based tours that run in all seasons, including Eugene city tours, Willamette Valley wine trips, and Eugene to coast day tours, and more!

What should I bring with me?
We recommend dressing for the weather (layers are great), wearing reasonable walking shoes, and bringing sunscreen or a rain jacket, depending on the season.
